Independent Living
“Becoming a part of the Carman Oaks staff team has been the highlight of my career in senior housing. With over fifteen years of experience, I continue to enjoy the interactions with so many wonderful residents that bring so much warmth, diversity and knowledge to each day. It is an honor that the residents here have chosen Carman Oaks as their home. Each day is a new beginning not only for the staff, but also for our residents. We strive to make sure their lives are fulfilled with a sense of pride, safety, friendship and belonging. ”
“As a member of the Carman Oaks Team, I bring a number of years dedicated to enriching and enhancing the quality of life seniors so deserve. As Director of Resident Services it is my honor to provide personalized service and daily emotional support for our residents, along with all of the other dedicated staff on the Carman Oaks team. It is my desire and goal to see that each resident laughs, loves and lives each day to the fullest. I’m genuinely dedicated and passionate in making a difference in our Carman Oaks Residents lives.”
Assisted Living
“As a Registered Nurse I’ve worked with seniors for over 30 years, in skilled care, home health, hospice, and assisted living. I’ve been at Carman Oaks since 1996, and have had the privilege of knowing many residents and their families. I will forever treasure the stories and memories that residents share. Each person’s so unique and special. Our employees are also special, and each one brings their own personalities. Our goal is to create a safe, secure, home-like atmosphere for our residents and their families.”
“Working with seniors has been a long term passion of mine. I worked with geriatrics for nearly 20 years as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. This background has helped me established a variety of purposeful activities at various levels of physical skill and cognition. Activities are designed to provide social interaction, stimulate cognition, maintain physical abilities, and for shear enjoyment. It is a privilege to assist residents and families in a variety of situations and challenges that this stage of life brings.”
Community Relations
“My experience in senior housing started in the property management industry. For several years I was the Director of Property Management for non-profit housing provider that developed and maintained affordable housing for seniors and disabled. It was rewarding and challenging and as I rose up the ladder of success the thing I missed the most was the interaction with the residents. I took a sabbatical for about year (everyone should do this if possible), and then in 2010, when returning to the job market, I decided that I wanted to return to my “roots”, which is marketing, leasing and helping people see the potential in their new home. Getting to work with seniors is the icing on the cake!”
“I live in Lake Oswego with my husband. We have a blended family consisting 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Our life is simple and blessed.”
Personal Praise
The food is good and I love that family is encouraged to eat here complimentary. We have children join us for so many activities…they add so much life.
