At Carman Oaks Assisted Living, you’ll find both privacy and needed support with all the activities of daily living. When you step through our doors, you’ll feel the difference as personal attention and services are provided in the cozy residence of our studio and one bedroom apartments.
Our administrator, Dorothy Rouse, is also a registered nurse, and supervises every aspect of each resident’s care. Our resident service coordinator, caregivers, and chef also work together to custom design individualized service plans. Caregivers are on duty 24 hours a day, providing assistance, friendly support, and encouragement.
While many aspects of Carman Oaks Assisted Living are brag-worthy, two facets rise to the top of the list when it comes to accomplishments: One is our staff consistency, with a remarkably low employee turn over rate; and secondly, our community’s earned a deficiency-free annual survey for many years.
Carman Oaks Assisted Living Staff
Dorothy Rouse, Administrator
"As a Registered Nurse I’ve worked with seniors for over 30 years, in skilled care, home health, hospice, and assisted living. I’ve been at Carman Oaks since 1996, and have had the privilege of knowing many residents and their families. I will forever treasure the stories and memories that residents share. Each person’s so unique and special. Our employees are also special, and each one brings their own personalities. One employee has worked at Carman Oaks since it first opened in 1985. The staff is compassionate and dedicated to resident care, and works well as a team. Our goal is to create a safe, secure, home-like atmosphere for our residents and their families."
Emily Irish, Assistant Administrator/Resident Services Coordinator
“Working with seniors has been a long term passion of mine. I worked with geriatrics for nearly 20 years as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. This background has been invaluable for helping me enrich the lives of our residents. I have established a variety of purposeful activities at various levels of physical skill and cognition. Activities are designed to provide social interaction, stimulate thinking and memory processes, maintain physical abilities, and for shear enjoyment. It is a privilege to assist residents and families in a variety of situations and challenges that this stage of life brings.”
